How to clean your camcorder
The camcorder is like an entire movie studio that can fit in the palm of your hand. It can record, edit, save and create totally unique images and movies that will last a lifetime. However, if your camcorder becomes dirty or gets filled with dust, dirt and other debris, it can seriously hamper the effectiveness of your digital video recorder and leave your movies looking tired, dull and not too clear.
Even though the camcorder is very delicate, there are some things you can do to properly and safely keep it clean, free of grime, and most importantly, running and working smoothly.
-Use compressed air to blow off any dust that's accumulated on the lens.
-Only use special lens cleanser and a cloth to fully clean the lens. Make sure when you're cleaning the lens that you do so from the center out. And make certain that you are very careful and delicate while doing this.
-If you have a camcorder that uses some form of tape, then purchase a special tape-head cleaner to fully clean out the inside of the tape-head.
-To make certain the outside of your video camera is always clean, never use your camcorder with dirty or grimy hands.
-Clean the body of the camcorder with a slightly damp cloth. If there is too much liquid on the cloth, it can seep into the nooks and crannies of your camcorder and seriously cause some damage.
