How to clean an iPod
An iPod is a delicate, yet sophisticated and durable piece of electronic equipment that's designed to last for a long time. However, you can increase the life and performance of the world's most popular portable digital music player with a bit of knowledge mixed with some TLC.
The Apple iPod is, without a doubt, the world's leading portable MP3 player. It seems that everywhere you go, people, kids and adults, are walking, jogging or riding around with those white earphones wedged into, well, their ears! And while most people love and want to care for their iPods, they simply might not know how to carefully keep their devices free, clean and clear of debris.
So, as a public service to music lovers everywhere, here are some tips on how to properly clean an iPod:
-Activate the hold switch to avoid accidentally turning the iPod on and off repeatedly.
-Make sure you unplug all cables and cords from the MP3 player.
-Only use a cloth that is lint-free and won't leave any residue or excess fabric on the iPod.
-Do not use any harmful chemicals, sprays or other substances to clean the iPod. A small amount of water should do the trick.
-Be certain that you avoid getting anything into any openings that are on your device.
-Don't use excessive amounts of water to clean the iPod.
Even though this all sounds like common sense, it's good to keep note of these cleaning tips. Some people may want to go overboard while cleaning their iPod, thinking that using sprays and other fancy cleaning agents will enhance the life and quality of their music playing device. While those intentions are noble, they may actually end up casing more harm and damage than good.
