How to reset an iPod

The iPod is designed to be a reliable, high-functioning and easy to use portable music device. At least, that's what it's supposed to do in theory. Because the iPod, iPod Nano and other versions are electronic devices, they are susceptible to freezing or not working properly. It happens to most electronic items at one time or another - hey, how many times has your computer freezed up on you for no apparant reason at all? It is annoying and a pain, but there is an easy way for you to learn how to reset an iPod and get it working again fast.

First of all, how to reset an iPod depends on what kind of iPod you are trying to reset. Different versions of the iPod, of course, will require different methods and techniques to properly reset them. It is also important to determine whether or not you have an iPod Nano with a click wheel or a scroll wheel, as there are variations in how to reset each kind of iPod.

 So, let's say that you have an iPod Nano with a click wheel. Here's an easy way as to how to reset an iPod:

1. First of all, make certain that the hold button isn't engaged. In some cases, it can be a simple as that.

2. If you've determined that the hold button is not the problem, then here's how to reset an iPod with a click wheel.

3. Flip the hold switch on and off a few times.

4. Press and hold the menu and select buttons at the same time. The Apple logo should appear after you've done this for a few seconds. If the Apple insignia does not appear, then you may wish to repeat this step a few times again.
