Fun things to do with your iPod that don't involve music
Okay, we all know the the iPod is great for listening to your favorite songs while you're on the go. But, did you know that there are other fun and cool things you can do with your iPod?
Despite its small size and delicate construction, there are plenty of "non-traditional" things you can do with the worlds most popular MP3 player. All it takes is some imagination to figure out exactly just how much fun you can have with an iPod or iPod Nano that actually doesn't involve listening to music!
And in the best interests of public service, here are just a few suggestions of fun, neat and entertaining things you can do with your iPod. All of these suggestions have been tried before, and they shouldn't do any damage or harm to your iPod.
So, what can you do with your iPod besides listening to tunes? Well, you can also…
1. Use your iPod in the complete dark and see if you can find your way around using only the lighted screen. By doing this, at least you'll know if your iPod will serve as a suitable flashlight in the event of a power outage!
2. Some iPods are very shiny. So, the next time you need to freshen up, use the back of your iPod as a mirror. You may be surprised at some of the reactions that you get.
3. Take odd pictures of your iPod. There are some people who like having thier garden gnome photographed in front of the Eiffel Tower, the CN Tower, the Statue of Liberty, etc. Well, save yourself the embarassment of carrying around an ugly gnome and make your iPod the focus of the camera - along with any famous landmarks you come across.
4. Dress it up. There are many clothing accessories you can get for your iPod, including the iPod hoodie. However, if you can't justify giving your iPod a better wardobe than you, then maybe you can shove it inside a sock.
5. Do some size comparisons. We all know the iPod is really tiny and small, but just how small is it? Take pictures comparing it to a thimble, or your pet hamster or anything else you can think of. Can you manipulate the picture to make your iPod look gigantic and make something next to it appear tiny?
Those are just some suggestions of what you can do with your iPod without actually using your iPod for its intended purpose. Some ideas are clever while some are just lame and corny. But, if you're ever bored and staring at your iPod Nano thinking to yourself "what can I do with this that doesn't involve a trebuchet?" Well…now you know!
