The iPod Nano
You've got an iPod Nano in your hot little hands and you're ready to download every song that's ever been recorded in the history of the world onto it and take your music with you everywhere you go. From long trips to short walks, you and your iPod Nano are going to be inseperable. You are just itching to hook up the iPod Nano to your computer and start transfering all your favorite tunes.
So, if you're the impatient type and absolutely have to get the iPod Nano full of songs right now, here's a handy quick guide that you can use to get the music from your computer onto the iPod Nano - where it belongs!
1. Install the iTunes program on your computer. If you are working on a Mac, then you should already have iTunes. If you are going to be using a PC, then you will need to install iTunes on it. The iPod Nano won't accept music from any other source, so get cracking on getting iTunes on your computer!
2. Connect the iPod Nano to your computer and set it up the way you want it. When you hook up the iPod Nano to your computer, you need to make sure that the Universal Serial Bus (the long way of saying USB) cable is hooked up directly to the guts of your computer, and not somewhere peripheral like the keyboard. The iPod Nano will need a lot of juice to run, and a port located directly on your computer will do the trick just nicely.
3. Fill up the iPod Nano with music. Get the songs you want and get them on your iPod! You can set up iTunes to automatically update your iPod Nano - so that each song you get from iTunes will also be added to your iPod!
4. Disconnect the iPod Nano from your computer, place the headphones in your ears and off you go with a world of song and music accompanying you on every step that you take!
Now, that is the absolutely bare minimum, just tell me how to do it fast guide to hooking up and using the iPod Nano. If you do have the time and patience, you should really get to know your iPod Nano and see exactly what it is capable of!
