Game cheats for Playstation 2
What would a modern day video game console and system be if it didn't have hidden cheat codes for it? Why, games without cheat codes are like, so 1982! Games with cheat codes are as commonplace as kids playing Pac-Man back in the day. Cheat codes, while extracting from the fun and pride that comes with finishing a game legitimately, do make overall game play much more interesting. And one popular home video game system that uses cheat codes is the Playstation 2.
A quick internet search reveals that almost every Playstation 2 video game has at least one cheat code if not more. And for those codes which are discovered, there are probably hundreds of games whose codes have yet to be figured out. Cheat codes can range from discovering new levels and worlds in a game, to revealing secret characters and weapons. Some cheat codes, though, are simply funny, like the ones giving football players huge heads in PS2 football video games!
Some people may wonder why place in a bunch of cheat codes in the first place. This can range for a variety of reasons: from a programmer with a twisted sense of humour, to maybe the game manufacturer and designer trying to give thier game some added oomph. Maybe the game is weak in the gameplay department, and sticking in some cheat codes can help boost sales of the game for the Playstation 2. No one can say for sure, but cheat codes are an almost accepted part of PS2 gameplay.
Some popular Playstation 2 games that have cheat codes in them are Dance Dance Revolution Extreme 2, Lego Star Wars II, Madden NFL 07 and Midnight Club 3 - just to name a few. These codes, if you can locate them and implement them, open up levels, areas and tricks that are otherwise inaccessible (or take way too long to find them, depending on your patience level!).
Whatever the case may be, cheat codes are so often used that it really isn't cheating if you use a Playstation 2 cheat code, now is it?
