You just knew that it had to be asked: will Sony release a Playstation 4, and if so, when will it be released? As soon as the original Playstation was launched, people wanted to know about the Playstation 2, followed the the PS3. Now, everyone is asking what will the Playstation 4 look like? And, that's not even to mentions what will follow the Playstation Portable!

Some digging on the net reveals that Sony isn't too certain on whether or not they will design, create and launch a Playstation 4. Actually, if you type in Playstation 4 in a Wiki search, you'll discover that there was once a PS4 article, but it has been removed and protected so that another PS4 article can not be created. With all that being said, if Sony does intend to launch the Playstation 4, it probably won't happen until around 2010.

But, the questions begs to be asked: what would the newest Playstation console contain? With technology and video games improving and changing at a breakneck rate, it's almost impossible to predict exactly what will be coming on down the line. One popular thought (OK, it's my own thought and I just thought of it right now at this exacy moment) is maybe video games will allow the user to be part of the action. Take a picture of yourself, upload it to the new PS4 and all of a sudden, you're the one getting chased by bad guys! Well, it's just a thought…and they may add it to a next line of PSP - who really knows!

There are some things you can count on should Sony decide to release a Playstation 4: it will be super cool, the games will be amazing, it will be ridiculously expensive and stores will sell out of it incredibly quickly. Such is the nature of the video game fan - they always want the latest home video game consoles and manufacturers are always ready to deliver! With all that said, it's hard to imagine what Sony could develop for a potential Playstation 4 when the PS3 has only been released for just a few months. 

If Sony does decide to create a Playstation 4, it will no doubt prove to be successful, popular, and will force other video game manufacturers to step up their designs as well.
