Reverse logistics is a supply chain dedicated to the reverse flow of product and materials for returns, repair, remanufacture, and/or recycling. Often in the consumer electronics industry, reverse logistics does not only involve defective and returned products, but also it includes overstock inventory and end of line merchandise.
Consumer electronics returns must be handled speedily in order to reduce depreciation and maximize recovery value. Hence an increasing number of manufacturers have switched to using local third party service providers (3PSPs) to handle consumer electronics returns, as opposed to sending the returns back to the Orient. Ideally, these 3PSPs must establish convenient collection points to receive the used goods from the final customer.
At Millennium, not only are consumer electronic returns handled at a speed that no one else can compete with, but we also have very convenient collection points to simplify the returns process for our customers.
